Trolling Motors / newport trolling motor
PERFECT SOLUTION
Transform your trolling experience with the Bullnose Rudder. Known for their lack of steering, especially in windy or choppy conditions, trolling motors now gain better control with this innovative rudder. Designed to help hold a true course at most trolling speeds, it minimizes the boat's spinning when the motor is off, ensuring a straight and stable path for your watercraft.
FIT
The Bullnose Rudder is specifically crafted for 1 1/8" (1.125") transom mount trolling motors. It does not fit self-deploy bow mount trolling motors. This rudder measures 10.5" high x 4.75" wide, fitting a 1 1/8" shaft diameter. It is compatible with minn kota, motor guide, and newport vessel trolling motors, as well as common tiny boats like inflatable pontoon, Pelican Bass Raider 10E, fishing kayak, canoes, and jon boats.
ESSENTIAL
In most cases, the Bullnose Rudder helps maintain a true course at both slow and high trolling speeds. Customers have reported that it prevents the boat from spinning as much when the motor is off. Adding a rudder to your tiny boat significantly improves stability and control, enhancing your fishing experience. Installation is quick and straightforward, taking only a few minutes to attach.
QUALITY
Manufactured in the USA with high quality parts and materials, the Bullnose Rudder is designed to provide a stress-free fishing experience. It is made from impact-resistant plastic for durability, with stainless steel screws to ensure it doesn't come loose. This ensures you can focus more on fishing without worrying about equipment issues.
BOW MOUNT
Fits Minn Kota, EDGE, MAXXUM, and FORTREX trolling motors. For a bow mount setup, the motor must be a hand cable pull, not self-deploy. Self-deploy models will not work because the system requires the shaft to slide up and down, which is necessary for attaching the rudder. A hand cable pull allows for carefully bringing the motor up out of the water on the motor mount. Ensure there is at least 1' of shaft sticking out from the end of the platform to provide enough space for attaching the rudder.
