Introducing the new NK-180S kayak motor, designed to provide outstanding performance and power for kayak anglers seeking to expand their range and catch more fish in both fresh and salt water. This brushless kayak motor boasts exceptional efficiency and minimal noise, thanks to its direct drive design which enables anglers to approach fish stealthily. The motor can be powered by two 12V lead acid deep cycle batteries or lighter 12V lithium batteries, offering flexibility for users. It features two operating modes, 24V and 25.9V, allowing for use with various battery types, including GEL, Lead Acid, or lithium deep cycle batteries, as well as a single 25.9V Lifepo4 battery (expected to be available in summer 2021).

Elevating the effective range of any paddler, the NK-180S motor can be easily mounted directly to a 4-bolt PowerPole style stern mount, or seamlessly integrated into the deck of a kayak. The mount is designed to pivot freely to navigate underwater obstacles, while the sturdy aluminum motor head is built to withstand unforeseen challenges. Users have the option to set up steering cables to maneuver the motor like a rudder using their kayak's OEM mounted foot braces. Alternatively, a pin can lock the motor in a forward drive position for use with SUPs and inflatable kayaks. Reverse functionality is enabled with a pull cord, which secures the motor in a deployed position to prevent the propeller from lifting out of the water while reversing.

Regardless of skill level, the NK-180S offers an efficient, powerful motor in a durable package. The 24V brushless motor, equivalent to 1.8hp, provides quiet and efficient power delivery without the use of internal gears, propelling users along at speeds of up to 5 knots. Additionally, the 4-bolt aluminum motor mount can be attached directly to PowerPole ready fishing kayaks, and can be installed on other kayaks using a drill.

For added convenience, the motor is compatible with lead acid deep cycle or lithium deep cycle batteries with a nominal output voltage between 24V to 29V. However, it is important to note that some lithium batteries may output higher than the rated voltage, requiring careful consideration during selection. The motor comes complete with a range of accessories, including a speed controller, emergency stop key, motor mount with quick release, battery cable kit, steering triangle, height adjustment collar, motor lift arm, steering cables, nylon cords, and installation hardware, as well as an owner's manual.
